Know-How to activate Real View Graphics

Real View Graphics in SolidWorks is a Basic Render, It is Supported by Graphic card such as Nvidia Quadro, AMD FireGL/Pro or Radeon Pro cards. Absence of Real View Graphics option in “view settings” on “Headsup toolbar” corroborate that it is non-certified graphics cards.

Solutions : We need to add registry key and value, follow the procedure to do that.

Step 1: Open “Run” (Windows key + R)

Step 2: Type “Regedit” —> “ok” —–>”Yes” to user control access dialog box.

Step 3: The Registry Dialog box will be opened (Refer: Figure 2)

Step 4: Expand “HKEY_CURRENT_USER” —–> “Software” —–>“Solidworks” —–> “Solidworks 20XX” —–> “Performance” —–>“Graphics” —–> “Hardware”  —–> “Current”. (Refer Figure 3)

Step 5: Double Click the “Renderer” registry key

Step 6: Copy (Ctrl + c)utterly “Value Data”. (Refer Figure 4)

Step 7: Scroll down find “Gl2Shaders” folder —–> Expand it —–> find “NV40” —–> “Right Click” —–> “New” —–> “Key” ——> Rename the key “paste (ctrl +v)” Graphics card name copied earlier” —–> “Right Click” on the key ——> “Dword (32-bit) value“—–> Name the key “Workarounds” ——> Double click the key —–> Enter the Hexa-decimal value 30008 —–> ok. (Refer fig 5 & 6)

Step 8: Close the Registry and open SolidWorks

Step 9: Enjoy!!!
